Above is our gang, Dancer, Emmy, Sasha and our non-sheltie Snoby the Bichon.
We were instantly captivated by their handsome looks and delightful personalities. Upon returning home, we began a search for our own Sheltie to love. We finally found our first Sheltie, a 6 month old sable male named Rocky. Several months later, my husband found a female with whom he fell immediately in love. She was to be his dog. However, our new Sheltie girl, Alexia, "Lexi" for short, had different ideas – she attached herself to me and followed me everywhere. As you may know, shelties reserve the right to pick their "masters". Lexi endeared herself to both of us though. Lexi’s life would be cut short by a connective tissue disease called Dermatomyositis. We would have 5 wonderful years with her. After we found our two wonderful Shelties, my husband would broach the subject of showing and breeding. At the time, I wasn’t ready to follow his desires. Time passed and on March 20, 2007, we lost Lexi which was devastating for both of us, but especially for my husband. With much encouragement from my Forrest, though tentative, I began my search for another Sheltie. Not only did I discover Goodtime Shelties, but also found a special friend in the breeder, Joy Good. The day that I brought Emmy home a dream of breeding and showing was started by Joy. Currently we have three female Shelties from Joy’s kennel. We are planning to breed our first litter with Emmy in the upcoming future. We
